Vicente Fernandez Jr Age:- Vicente Fernandez Jr. was born on February 17, 1940, in the hamlet of Huentitán El Alto in the western state of Jalisco, to a family steeped in traditional Mexican music for generations.He began singing with his father and tutor, Vicente Fernández, aka El Charro de Huentitan, and brother, popular vocalist Alejandro Fernández, at a very young age. On the other hand, Vicente Fernández Jr. chose to graduate from a local institute and earn a degree in accountancy before becoming substantially involved in show business.
Fernández died on December 12, 2021, at the age of 81, of complications from his injuries. Mexico’s President, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, lamented Fernández’s death with a tweet in which he referred to him as the “symbol of the ranchera song of our time, known and recognised in Mexico and abroad.”
Vicente Jr. and Alejandro Fernández, among Fernández’s children, embraced music as well and have gone on to have successful careers, following in their father’s footsteps. He came out of semi-retirement in 2019 to sing at the Latin Grammys alongside his two sons and grandson, Alex Jr.
His body was taken from the funeral home to the Arena VFG, which the singer bequeathed to his hometown of Guadalajara, where he was greeted by his family and at least 6,000 fans. His Mariachi Azteca sang songs such as “El Rey” and “Acá Entre Nos.”
